Somebody is running a business selling frozen water.
Not flavored. Not purified in some special way you can taste. Water, frozen, in a plastic bag, for $4.99.
And you have a machine in your kitchen that makes the exact same thing for approximately nothing, running right now, automatically, whether you want it to or not.
You will still buy the bag. So will I.

Now here is what makes this the strangest business in this entire series.
The product actively destroys itself. Not slowly, like milk going off. Continuously, from the second it is made, every hour it exists, forever.
Leave a truckload of shoes in a lot overnight and you still have shoes. Leave a truckload of ice out and by morning you own a puddle and a liability.
So this is a business selling something free, that cannot be stored without spending money, that dies if you stop spending, in a season that lasts about fourteen weeks.
And it works. There are companies doing this at genuine scale.
Because the ice was never the product.
