You are not married to your dealer either.

Most people think they are. They bought gold from a company, so that company is now "their" gold company. Forever.

It is not.

The dealer sold you metal. The transaction ended. That is the entire relationship.

You can buy from someone else tomorrow. You can sell to someone else next year. Your custodian stays exactly where it is.

And this matters more than almost anything else in a gold IRA, because the dealer sets the price and the price is the whole game.

So: can you switch? Usually yes.
